RESEARCH PROJECTS

Dr. Bailey completed his Bachelor of Science degree at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario. He then moved to Montreal and completed a Doctorate in Human Genetics at McGill University.

 

He completed his post-doctoral training in Genomics at the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre and the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto.

Using high-throughput genomics to identify novel genetic biomarkers and therapeutic targets for the management and treatment of esophageal cancer and peritoneal metastases.

 

Developing and Implementing novel computational approaches to decipher the role of regulatory mutations in esophageal cancers and associated metastases.

 

Using genomics and bioinformatics to interpret the impact of structural variants on the chromatin landscape and how regulatory elements are repurposed in cancer – “enhancer hijacking”.
