RESEARCH ASSISTANT

Under the leadership of Drs. Lorenzo Ferri and Veena Sangwan, I take care of the day-to-day running of the MGH branch of the lab. As thoracic surgeries are performed at the MGH, we have the opportunity to live-bank the tumors taken from consented patients as three dimensional cultures, called organoids. These organoids can later be used to perform high throughout drug screens to test response to both standard of care and potential therapies.  We are also using these organoids to understand the mechanisms related to resistance of therapy and metastatic spread of disease.
