research Project

My research project is going to investigate the genomic and transcriptomic alterations associated with MSI-high chemotherapy resistant tumors in a retrospective cohort of existing biobanked GEA tissue and patient derived organoids. Additionally, I will be exploring avenues to prevent chemoresistance and to salvage chemotherapy-resistant tumors in MSI-high GEA patients in the adjuvant and neoadjuvant settings. This involves expanding organoids and performing high throughput screening using FDA-approved chemotherapeutic drugs as well as compounds targeting genomic alterations.
